Peaceable Kingdom - Snug as a BUG in a RUG!
With the Snug as a Bug in a Rug Game, little kids rescue colorful bugs from stinky ones! In this cooperative preschool game from Peaceable Kingdom Press, children take turns and work as a team to match colors, sizes, shapes, and quantities from the spinner to the back of each bug. Slip the bugs under the rug one-by-one until the three stinkbugs arrive! With instructions for three progressively challenging levels of play, the game grows with kids. The game also includes a game board with spinner, a die, twenty-four colorful bugs, and three stinkbugs. Each game lasts for approximately fifteen minutes and is fun for 2 to 4 players.

How to Play:
Get all the little colorful bugs under the rug before the 3 stink bugs stink up the place! Watch closely and make those matches! In Levels 1 and 2, players take turns spinning the spinner, looking for bugs that match both the die and spinner. In Level 1 (ages 3-4), you only roll the die once at the beginning of the game. In Level 2 (ages 4-5), you roll the die on every player's turn. In Level 3 (ages 5-6), you only use the spinner to find two bugs that match! On all 3 levels, you place a stink bug on the board if you can't find a matching bug. Make sure you work together to find those matches before all 3 stink bugs are on the board and you all win!
Why families love this item:
Unlike most games Snug as a Bug in a Rug encourages kids to work together to keep the stink bugs off the rug. This way, kids work together, learn together and they help each other! A cooperative game eliminates stress, builds self-esteem, and teaches kids that playing together can be fun!
What is a cooperative game?
A cooperative game is a game where all players play together against a common obstacle, not against each other. In a cooperative game no one feels left out and everyone has fun! Peaceable Kingdom’s cooperative board games use familiar game mechanisms – spinning a spinner, matching cards, moving a token, strategizing a win! The difference is that players play together. Playing together helps kids in many ways – they experience shared decision-making, they build self-esteem, they learn to share, to feel compassion, and to work as a team. Playing cooperative games teaches kids to cooperate.
