Shields Protect Tender, Healing Skin
When nipples become sore or cracked from breastfeeding, Philips AVENT small nipple protectors let you comfortably continue breastfeeding while you heal. These BPA free silicone shields fit over the nipple, creating a seal so your baby can latch on through the shield. Milk flows through three holes at the shield's peak.
Keep breastfeeding While You Heal
This shield's smaller size--a little over 1/2 inch across--offers enough protection for you to feed comfortably as you heal while also letting your baby continue to feel and smell your skin while nursing with the shield in place. Your milk supply stays stimulated while you heal and babies can easily transition back to your nipple when you're ready.
Made of Odorless, Easy-to-Sterilize Silicone
Silicone is odorless and flavorless, so your baby will only taste and smell your milk and your skin as he or she feeds. You can sterilize the shields in a Philips AVENT steam sterilizer or by boiling in water for five minutes.
