As long as you breastfeed your baby it is well protected, because breast milk is the best for babies. That’s why you should breastfeed your baby for the first 4 – 6 months if possible. What about after breastfeeding?

What does organic quality mean?

Babies who are not or only partly breastfed need a selected formula that is modelled on breast milk. The infant’s organ is still very sensitive. That is why the composition of formula is clearly set out by law. As a basis, cow’s milk is used that provides calcium and valuable protein. It is important for HiPP that we use products that are as natural as possible and only use strictly controlled organic milk as the base product for our organic milk formulae.

How important is Omega-3?

Omega-3 is important for the development of brain and nerve cells

Omega-3 is especially important for infants for the development of brain and nerve cells. Because in the first two years of life the brain grows and matures at a special rate, the regular absorption of Omega-3 fatty acids is especially important: 0.5% of the daily energy intake of an infant should be covered by Omega-3 fatty acids. HiPP organic milk formulae and HiPP organic paps with our good follow-on milk (from the 4th month) contain these valuable Omega-3 fatty acids from natural organic ingredients.

You can therefore be sure that your baby’s Omega-3 requirements are well covered – and in a completely natural way. This way, your baby gets all it needs for healthy development, day for day.

The origin of our organic milk

Where does the organic milk for HiPP organic milk formulae come from?

The milk only comes from farms with strict organic farming.

HiPP only uses milk from farms that keep strictly to the regulations of organic farming. The cows are kept in appropriate conditions according to the species and graze for more than 200 days a year on natural meadows that are farmed without mineral fertilisers or chemical-synthetic sprays. This natural feeding of the animals with grass, hay or grain guarantees the best organic quality, from which our nutritious, healthy milk originates. That’s what makes the organic milk so valuable for HiPP milk formulae.

HiPP organic milk is strictly controlled

All this is continuously checked by independent control institutes. In addition to this, HiPP controls all products in their own lab tests, which are even stricter than the legislative authorities stipulate. This guarantees that only the best organic milk is used for your baby.

The content of each jar goes through a quality safety system of up to 260 controls, from soil analyses and raw material analyses to testing the finished product. When our farmers harvest and deliver fruit and vegetables, the raw products are tested for the most important substances. Should our lab find a substance that doesn’t belong there, the raw products are not processed any further.

The HiPP laboratory ranks amongst the best in Europe

The technical equipment in our lab can filter out about 1,200 possible residues, in such small amounts comparable to a grain of salt in a 25 m swimming pool.
